Served as a senior consultant in the Washington DC office of the Security Consulting & Engineering practice from early 2003 to November 2005. Key projects included writing the Security Master Plan for the USDOJ / ATF for the security of more the 200 agency offices throughout the United States. Conducted the physical security assessment of Newark, Laguardia, JFK and Teterboro airports for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Designed the integrated security system for the Embassy of Qatar and did security planning for the Smithsonian Institution. Principal of independent firm providing security and fire protection consulting services based in Orlando. Key projects include security assessment and planning for oil exploration and production operations for BP in Colombia, and contract work for FEMA/USFA.

Related Experience
Held positions as the National Training Manager for National Guardian Security (bought by Ameritech SecurityLink), head of the fire and life safety program for the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and served as a State Fire Marshal for the State of Florida. This decade had an emphasis on security training issues and on fire protection. Served as member of the Technical Correlating Committee for the NFPA National Fire Alarm Code.
